BFree – Singer
Wanted to get BFree and make portraits with him for over a year now. There were always reasons why I did not work out.
Finally we got together yesterday Saturday 26. Mar. 2010.
First we went to a Pond close to Plüderhausen and warmed up. Overcast skies with sunny spells meant to get ready for changing light. So I mounted my SB-800 to my camera and set the other one on a stand behind an 80cm umbrella. The Flash was gelled with a 1/4 CTO. I wanted to give the images a warm feeling. Set the Camera to manual and used the CLS iTTL mode of the the Nikons to balance the light!
We then moved on to look for some Graffiti as a backdrop. We found this green Graffiti on an old wooden shack. The Graffiti was kind of washed away which made it look darker. I mounted on Metz 45 CL-4 in a Lastolite Umbrella Box and had it over Bernie. The second Metz 45 CL-4 was mounted on a stand to illuminate the Graffiti and Bernie from the other side. I wanted the light to be harsh and strong so I chose a high shutter speed to close off the ambient light.
Color in the Cold of Winter
Snow snow snow … it seems it does not want to get warmer. I’ve had enough of the black and white in nature and am searching for color therein.
I must confess I found some color even in snow images. I must say making these images makes me freeze, stand in the cold wind or get wet feet. A few days we had nice weather and nice warm sun. Would like to have some back to get some more color in my immediate surroundings.

Haiti Braucht Dich!
Am Galaabend im Forum Schönblick wurde ich vom Organisator B.Free gebeten, zu fotografieren.
Meist fotografiere ich bei solchen Event im manuellen Modus. Bei Iso 1000 – 1600 arbeite ich so bei bei einer Blende von 4-5,6 und einer Verschlusszeit von 1/40 bis 1/125.
Den Blitz stelle ich auf den zweiten Vorhang zudem regle ich den ihn auf -2/3 bis -1 1/3 runter, damit nur die Augen aufgehellt werden und die Atmosphäre nicht verloren geht. Ich hatte auch einen CTO gel 1/4 orange verwendet.
Das Licht war an dem Abend sehr inkonsistent. Und ich musste mit verschiedenen Licht Situation kämpfen. Sehr schwierig, war dass sich die Lichter bewegten und somit unberechenbar waren. Ich hatte gerade scharf gestellt und drückte ab, als ich voll geblendet wurde. Die neuen LED Leuchten sind zudem sehr hell und einfach nicht schön! Sie überfluten das Objekt. Habe einiger solcher Bilder bei dem das Blau überstrahlte in das Album gestellt.

Neue Weitwinkel Objektive von Nikon
AF-S NIKKOR 16-35mm 1:4G ED und AF-S NIKKOR 24mm 1:1,4G ED von Nikon vorgestellt.

Ein Weitwinkelzoom mit Stabilisator, wird einige Blenden kompensieren. Ich liebe 35mm auf FX, daher ist das ein Zoom, an dem man nicht einfach vorbeilaufen sollte.
Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24mm 1:1,4G ED Objektiv
Wie Nikon es sagt: dieses Objektiv neue Maßstäbe in der Weitwinkelfotografie. Architektur und Landschaftsaufnahmen werden mit der großen Lichtstärke revolutioniert. Der schnelle AF wird einem viele Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten geben. Das ist ein WOW-Glass bei dem alle Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten hat. Mit der neuen ISO Zaubertüten Nikon D3s muss das eine neue Welt der Freihandfotografie ermöglichen.
27. Internationales Guggenmusiktreffen am 6./7. Februar 2010
Bin Am Abend des 6. Feb. in die Innenstadt um mich in das Getöse der Unklänge zu begeben. Wollte um die Musiker sein und nicht nur an einem Stand stehen und zuschauen. Mit laufen und den Krach mitfühlen.
Hatte meine D700 mit den Batteriehalter mit 8 Akkus ausgestattet im MB D10. So hatte ich 8 Bilder /Sek.. Meinen SB-800 mit einem 1/4 orange Gel ausgestattet. Bei iso 400 begann ich und endete bei 2500. Als Universal Objektiv hatte ich mein 24-70 f2,8.
