Panorama Hohenstuifen and Hohenstaufen
The view from Hornberg in Baden-Württemberg is breathtaking. In Winter the foremost mountain Hohenstuifen looks like it had received some icing. Hornberg is a windy place and cold. I waded in 40 cm of snow to get this panorama.
This panorama was stitched using autopanopro. I shot two complete Panos using Nikon D700 and 70-200 VRII. I shot 14 images at 200mm 1/500 f10 at -1.3ev.

Schnee und Frost in Grau / Snow and Frost in Gray
Walked on the slopes of Treffelhausen on a gray day. Snow had covered the slopes for some days now. However fog had turned the trees into frosted giants and dwarfs. As my daughter was trying her snowboard I went walking in the minus degrees with a breeze in my face. I braved the cold (I just like the warm weather more) and took my camera along. I think I was rewarded with some nice images! I loved playing with the gray tomes and the whitish backdrop.
Stuttgart in white
Rarely do you see Stuttgart in deep snow. This year it was cold enough to keep all the snow that fell these days. The D700 made it possible to take all images handheld. I used my trusty lens 17-35 f 1:2,8. This lens gives me quite a lot of bang for every shot!
Snow Walk in Gray
Our days are cold and gray. I braved the cold and went out to catch some lines in the white. Lines yellow, gray, brown, black or any color that would break the white of the snow. I mostly set my D700 to +0,7 to +1,3 to counter the white of the snow and to make the snow apear shallow.
Bischof Rein
